ABOUT ME
What matters...
When I’m dying, I want to know that what I did made the world a bit better.
I’m too squeamish to be a surgeon. Too small to carry people out of burning buildings. Too math challenged to be a bio, glacial or any other kind of ‘ologist.’ So, I tell stories. It turns out stories matter.
Stories matter because they stamp onto our brains with lasting power. If that weren’t true, leaders would be elected on facts alone, the only diet plan would be the food pyramid, and no child would put out milk and cookies each year for a bearded home invader.
Stories matter because they spur or stall action. They move us to vote. To give blood. And to make a donation – even when our budgets are tight. They curb us from ignorance. From greed. And from discounting the lives of others. Our stories matter because our actions matter. We each get one chance to shape them.
So, what will yours be?
